Research laboratory

The Entomology and Agricultural Zoology lab was set up in 2010. It is used principally for the scientific research activities included in the research grants, as well as for the PhD papers in Entomology and Agricultural Zoology.

In this lab, they develop tests, observations and research for monitoring the invasive species, the species morphology, and the sexual dimorphism; they also study colour variability, bio-ecology; test some biological and chemical products in the control of larva and other crop adult pests; they develop lab research regarding the growth, and the exploitation of the beneficial series in the population cut.

The endowment of the lab includes the apparatus and the supplies purchased from many Diabrotica virgifera research projects. (see the lab sheet). The apparatus and the supplies are in good repair. They were purchased in the last three years. The arrangement has been recently made. It includes an access research room, new furniture, anti bacterial linoleum, according to the in force demands.
