summary
Among the main activities from the latest years of European specialists in plant protection there is the monitoring of the invasive species Diabrotica virgifera spreading. Although all the aspects presented until today mark out the importance of the species for the corn agro-eco-systems (in Europe),for other crops too (in USA), the acknowledge of the factors that contribute to the species naming is the most important reason of justifying and implementing of some stopping rules of the spreading. Approaching this aspect appears as a response: the spreading of the pest cannot be stopped but by preventive or curative methods of control. By the present theme we wish to accomplish some predictable methods of the spreading, by allowing for all the previous approaches regarding the species at a national and international level. According to the latest European map made by a group of specialists (FAO), the species can be found in the eastern and the Central part of Europe marching towards the Western part of the continent. As far as this situation is concerned, in Romania it can be found only in its Western part marching towards East. The predictability of adults distribution represented by numerous models is based on the interaction of the environmental factors, temperature, humidity, wind. The climatic changes of the latest years caused modifications of the adults’ behavior, so it differs from region to region. Some local and national studies are important. Starting from the idea that any living organism acts differently according to the geographical area, it would be very important to approach some aspects that regard a comparative study of adults’ distribution in different areas. The actual project wants to bring a scientific result, in theory and in practice, that facilitates the stabilization of the invasive species, and the spreading limitation in non invaded areas.
